Day 1 :

Chandigarh to Manali [9 hrs]:

On arrival at Chandigarh Railway Station / Airport, arrival assistance by representative and arrival transfer from Chandigarh to Manali. Overnight at Hotel

 

Manali: Also known as the  Queen of Hill stations and a mecca for adventure sports enthusiasts, Manali is situated at 6,398 ft in the Himalayas. What you  dream of having at a hill station  this place has everything to offer, Snow clad mountains, Beautiful valleys, River, small streams, High altitude  roads  and gateways to the most off beat destination like  Ladakh, Lahaul and Spiti.

Day 2 :

Manali

After breakfast sightseeing of places in and around Manali, Like Hadimba temple, Manu temple, Vashisht Bath,  Van Vihar and evening shopping at the local market. O/N Hotel

 

Hadimba Temple: Also known by the names Dhungari Temple, as the name suggests, the temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, wife of Bheema. The wooden architecture of the shrine is very distinct from most Hindu temples you will come across in the country.

Manu temple by walk : The Manu Temple is dedicated to an old sage after whom it has been named. The pagoda-style architecture of the shrine stands out amidst the deep valleys and mountain peaks. You have to hike a little to reach the temple, but the views at the summit and the spiritual vibes it exudes make all your efforts completely worth it

Vashisht:  A place of great spiritual importance, Vashisht village is home to a beautiful temple set amidst the dramatic Himalayan topography. It is believed that the temple has a history of more than 4000 years and the interiors of the shrine feature wooden carvings, antique figures, and paintings. What makes this destination even more unique is the presence of hot springs that are believed to hold healing properties

Day 3 :

Manali – Solang Valley – Atal Tunnel – Keylong

Morning drive to Keylong. On the way visit Solang Valley , Atal Tunnel. Free for leisure. O/N hotel.

Solang Valley: Located at bout 8400 feet above sea level, Solang Nala is a short drive away from Manali. It is a haven for adventure and sports lovers. In winters the place is full of adventure lovers looking for amazing experience in skiing with world class ski slopes and ski lift. When the weather warms up, people flock here for zorbing and paragliding. Road further to Solang takes you to world famous tunnel also known as Rohatang Tunnel.

Atal Tunnel till north pole : Atal Tunnel also known as Rohtang Tunnel is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass on the  Leh – Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh at a length of 9.02 km, it is the longest highway single-tube tunnel above 10,000 feet (3,048 m) in the world when completed. The tunnel reduces the travel time and overall distance between  Manali and Keylong on the way to  Leh. The tunnel is at an elevation of 3,100 metres whereas the Rohtang Pass is at an elevation of 3,978 metres.

Day 4 :

Keylong

Visit Khardang Monastry, Trilokinath Temple, Shasur Monastary. O/N hotel.

Khardang Monastry : The monastery is believed to have been built in the 12th century and houses a large library of Buddhist literature, including the Kangyur and Tangyur scriptures in the Bhotia or Sherpa language. There is also a good collection of fine thankas, musical instruments such as lutes, drums, horns, as well as old weapons. There are colourful frescoes and murals.

Trilokinath Temple : Triloknath temple is situated in Udaipur sub division of District Lahaul and Spiti of Himachal Pradesh . It is nearly 45 KM from Keylong , Distt Head Quarter of Lahaul and Spiti early  146 KM from Manali . Ancient name of Triloknath temple is Tunda vihar . . This is holy shrine is revered equally by Hindus and the Buddhists. Hindus consider Triloknath  deity as ‘Lard Shiva’  while the Buddhists consider the deity as ‘ Arya Avalokiteshwar ‘ Tibetan language speaking people called  him as ‘Garja Fagspa‘.

Shashur or Sashur Monastery is a Buddhist monastery of the Drugpa sect in Lahaul and Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, northern India. It is located 137 kilometres from Manali. Sha-shur means “blue pines” in the local dialect, as patches of blue pine can be seen around the monastery.[1] A smaller gompa had existed previous to the current building. In the month of June or July Chham is performed in the monastery.

Day 5 :

Keylong – Kunzu Pass –  Kaza

Morning drive to Kaza. On the way Kunzum pass.  O/N hotel.

About Kaza : Kaza is known for its colorful festivals and the ruins of the ancient Sakya Tangyud Monastery, located near village Komik,14 km from Kaza. It is also popular with tourists and adventure seekers during the period of June, July and August and September because of its central location and connections to the rest of the valley (Connects to Leh-Manali Highway via  Kunzum Pass This central location also makes Kaza an ideal base camp for trekking, mountaineering, and tours directed to other parts of the valley.

Day 6 :

Kaza-Langza-Hikkam-Komic-Kaza

After breakfast a drive to the highest motorable roar Langza and enroute visiting the Comik and Hikim village. O/N Hotel at Kaza.

Day 7 :

Kaza-Dhankar-Tabo local

After breakfast journey starts to witness the Ajanta of Himalayas the Tabo monastery. Tabo has the oldest caves on barren mountains and Thanka paintings, one of the most precious paintings of Buddhism. On the way Dhankar Monastary . O/N Hotel at Tabo.

Day 8 :

Tabo  – Chandratal

After breakfast excursion to Kee monastery and Kibber village at an altitude of 4205M.After that drive towards Chandratal via Kunzum Pass, Kunzumla Pass which is 4590 M. highest pass on Spiti Lahaul Road. Rudyard Kipling said of the region “Surely the God live here this no place for Men”.. O/N Hotel at  Chandratal.

Chandratal : The lake got its name because of its crescent shape. It is believed, Chandratal was discovered by traders who came to the region from Tibet or Ladakh. After an arduous journey, the traders used to rest near the lake before resuming their journey to Kullu or Spiti. The sweet water lake is around 2.5 km wide. It is the source of Chandra River which merges with Bhaga River to form Chandrabhaga River and later assumes the identity of Chenab.  The lake can be visited only during the three summer months. For the rest of the season, the lake remains cut off and frozen.

Day 9 :

Chandartal- Atal Tunnel – Manali [6 hrs]  : Morning visit Chandratal Lake and then drive to Manali via Atal Tunnel. O/N hotel.

Day 10 :

Manali-Chandigarh Drop [10 hrs]: Morning drive to Chandigarh. Drop at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station.
